As San Andreas is a democratic state, you have the right to be informed about who we are, and what we do.
However, the quality of our Work is depending directly on our skill of keeping important or sensitive informations classified.
So, as you can imagine, 100% transparency are not possible, to make sure our operations and Agents wont be endangered.

Who are we?
The Echelon 4 a.k.a. E-IV is a High-End Law Enforcment Organisation working for the Security of our State.
San Andreas has a uniqe system, enabeling us to combine all the profesionality we need in one single Service,
while other statse suffer from the concurrence of different Organisations, such as CIA, NSA, NRO, DEA et cetera.
Combining all the Equipment, Skills, Techniques and Know-How into one LEO, you result in getting a professional,
fast, decent and stealthy troop of Agents, fitted for any situation.

Equipment / Financial
Unlike the F.B.I. and the LSPD, the Echelon's need for money is not satisfied by using Tax Money.
We claim private fonds, and act as a Global Enterprise in both, Stock Exchange and Legal Engineering.
The equipment used by Agents may range from Self-Defence Weaponry to Hightech equipment. However, the
Echelons most powerfull weapon is their knowledge, giving us the ability to solve probably any case, without
using either violence or pressure on the suspects.

Recruitment
Echelon Agents are recruited from in-Duty FBI or LSPD employees - not conncealing their rank, but the datas
we know and the skills they have. Only the most talented will be asked to join, and thats the only way of gettng in, you
are not able to ask or apply. Doing so will lower, or even erase your chances of getting invited.
If you might be interested in joining the Echelon,you will have to begin an career at the FBI or LSPD, and get our attention
by performing extremely good and professional Work, then wait for us to ask you.
However, Echelon Agents absolve a heavy training even after their recruitment, and thats mainly why the are so valuable to us.
Whatever happens to an agent, however the situation might be, Echelon has one logo sentence which will always apply.
Any Agent of any Rank may never be left behind, and whatever they request, they shall recive.
This means, that an Agent calling for help will get the Help, and if he is trapped behind a row of criminals and requests
us to call in a F22 Fighterjet from a nearby Aircraft Carrier to bomb the Enemies away, even then: he will get it - no matter what.

Locations
The Public Echelon Office is located into a Skyscraper Northwest of the Star Tower, where anyone is welcome and might visit us.

Other than this, we also own a Tactical Center for Black Ops Missions, a Hightech Research Laboratory, Several Safehouses or Hideouts, and Mobile Bases. Such one is the USS Platypus, an Aircraft Carrier who has been used by the US Navy till 2008 and was then bought by the Echelon, as the Navy required Bigger Ships for an increased number of Planes. For the sake of discretion, the Names, Details, Locations of the Other HQ's, Laboratories or Hideouts will be kept classified.
